Parish Council
The Council continues to deal with matters on behalf of the village and items specifically raised by Parishioners. If you have anything that you wish to discuss, either approach one of your Councillors or come along to the meetings, the details of the forthcoming meetings are in the events section of the site.
We run monthly surgeries in Naughty Nick's café on the middle Tuesday of the month and these are detailed on the notice boards and in the window of the café. Please feel free to come along and talk to a member of your Council.
We are currently dealing specifically with issues over parking restrictions and planning.

QUEEN'S DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
As you are no doubt aware, this summer sees the 60th Anniversary of our Queen's Coronation and major celebrations are planned all over the country. Hampton in Arden plan to mark the occasion with a programme of events over the weekend at the start of June. Many people are already involved in the planning and so far the programme includes a Fete on Saturday 2nd June with a concert in the evening, an open air Church service followed by a "Big Lunch" on Sunday 3rd June and a Sports Festival on the Monday with a Jazz Band in the evening That will include the lighting of the beacon provided by the Parish Council to coincide with the Queen lighting the Royal Beacon. It is hoped that as many as possible from the village will get involved at some point over the weekend and if you were thinking of having your own street party or "Big Lunch" why not think about coming to the Sports Club and joining in with the rest of Hampton!
HIGH SPEED 2
The Hampton Society and Parish Council remain strongly opposed to HS2 despite the Government recent announcement that this project will be going ahead. In the most recent DfT maps there have been some changes to the route locally and the Parish Council and Hampton Society will continue to work towards ensuring that the impact of this railway is mitigated as much as possible by being involved in the local consultative process which is being established by HS2 Ltd.
The White Lion Pub
Recently the White Lion won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) award for the most improved pub. Well done to all at the White Lion for this achievement and may your success continue!
Hampton in Arden Village Christmas Post
By using the Village Christmas Post to send your local Christmas Cards, you helped us raise £346.10 for the Hampton in Arden Scout and Guide Supporters' Association
But, this has been generously match funded by the Lloyds TSB Foundation meaning that we actually have raised £692.20!
