The
Parish of Hampton-in-Arden lies in the heart of the green belt corridor
known as the ‘Meriden Gap’, which separates the conurbations
of Coventry, Solihull and Birmingham. It comprises two settlements,
Hampton-in-Arden and part of Catherine-de-Barnes. It has a population
of 1900 residents, the majority of whom live in the main village.
The village has 2 pubs/restaurants and a primary school which
services the neighbouring villages of Barston and Bickenhill.
It has a doctor’s
surgery, pharmacy, Post Office, library, and 7 other shops.
Hampton-in-Arden
is situated on the West Coast Mainline Railway and a local station
enables access to neighbouring villages and the wider rail network. |
